Pope Frans condemns the attack on a Jewish congregation in Pittsburgh and calls it inhuman violence.
The pope also said Sunday that he felt close to the Jewish community.
"We are all really hurt by this inhuman violence, that the Lord helps us to extinguish the flames of hatred that are developing in our society, reinforces the sense of humanity, respect for life, morality, Civil values and the holy fear of God, said the pope Sunday at the end of the prayer in St. Peter's Square in Rome.
Eleven people were killed when a man entered the synagogue and started shooting during a worship service. The attack is the worst thing against the Jews in the recent history of the United States.
