A judge ruled that twelve polling stations in Indiana would be open until two and a half hours later because they were open too late.
The premises were scheduled to close at 6 pm local time, but many of them having opened up to an hour and a half late, voters should have the opportunity to vote accordingly.
The problems arise because some election officials have resigned and others have not come to pick up election materials. In addition, other polling stations were closed when voters arrived Tuesday morning.
Millions of US voters are participating in Tuesday's central elections. In many places, very long cows, machine jams and other problems have been reported.
In New York, queues were reported as more and more machines that digitize ballots broke down.

A large turnout is expected. In one of the polling stations in Manhattan, the meeting was so big Tuesday morning that the queue was spread around the sports field of a school.
