Eleven soldiers killed by Boko Haram in Nigeria

Armed soldiers in five vans and motorcycles stormed a security check in Bunari in the state of Borno at 18:30 local time

– They attacked and the soldiers fought back, says the witness Amadu Sheriff to AFP. The attackers have mastered the soldiers who had settled in the trenches around the border control to fight the Boko Haram attackers, he said.

Three civilians, including a woman and her children from a nearby village, were killed by the crucifixion.

He says he has no record of the number of dead soldiers but that he saw two ambulances chasing dead soldiers in Monguno eight kilometers away.

A military source confirming that the attack took place, told AFP soldiers were killed before the Boko Haram insurgents were expelled with the help of Monguno's reinforcements .

– The attackers brought four military vehicles, including an armored car and a firearm van, said the military source.
