* Saudi journalist and regime critic Jamal Khashoggi was last seen when he entered the Saudi Arabian consulate in Istanbul on October 2nd. Saudi Arabia claims that he died during a fight there. According to Turkish, American and British media, this has happened:
* On Friday, September 28, the Khashoggik Consulate seeks to cancel his previous marriage in order to marry his Turkish fiance, Hatice Cengiz.

* Oct. 2 at 3.13 lands a private plane with nine Saudi Arabians at Ataturk Airport in Istanbul. The plane comes from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and some passengers have diplomatic passports. They check in at a hotel near the consulate after booking a room for three days. They leave the hotel later in the day.
* At 13:14, Khashoggi enters the consulate. In advance, he gave his two phones to the girlfriend and asked him for help if he did not come back. She stays outside the consulate until 1 pm, but Khashoggi never shows up.
* About 16, almost three hours after Khashoggi's entrance into the building, leaving six cars at the consulate of the Saudi authorities. Two other cars lead to the consulate residence 200 meters away. They continue four hours later. Turkish residents are welcome to go for free.
* Around 5:15 pm, another flight with Saudi officials in Istanbul. The plane leaves the airport after an hour. He stops in Egypt before continuing to Riyadh.

* On October 16, Erdogan states that toxic substances were discovered that had been "painted" in the building. An anonymous Turkish official told the AP that the police had discovered "reliable evidence" that Khashoggi had been killed at the consulate.

* On October 18, the Turkish police completed the exploration of the Saudi residence in Istanbul.
* On 19 October, Turkish police search for new places in the Istanbul area after Khashoggi's burial, while several US media sources mention Saudi Arabs who should have been at the center of the alleged liquidation.
* On 20 October, Saudi Arabia confirms that Khashoggi died at the consulate. They argue that there was a discussion between the journalist and those he met and that it turned into a fight that cost him his life.
* On October 21, Saudi Foreign Minister Adel Al-Jubeir called on Khashoggi to "commit a terrible mistake".
