It's a tradition that the US presidency chooses and presents the Christmas decoration to the press at the White House.
But Melania Trump was not present at this year's presentation. Instead, she released a 56-second video on Twitter, where she walked between the fir-shaped plant sculptures that she chose to decorate the presidency.

Reactions to first-class decorative choices have not been delayed in social media.
Many believe, among other things, that blood red trees in the east wing of the house look like bloody tampons.
Others think that the trees look like red-haired women dressed in red from the award-winning HBO series, "Handmaid's Tale".
Some point out that the trees could have been removed from the car wash.
There are nevertheless those who think that the decoration of the first place is in good taste. In the comments on Youtube, she receives praise.

More than 200 volunteers helped create the Christmas mood at the White House.
Only the east wing of the presidency is decorated with sensational red trees. The decorations in the rest of the house have a more traditional feel.
In addition to the 40 red plant sculptures, this year's Christmas decorations consist of over six kilometers of lighting and 12,000 Christmas songs.
