Norway still excluded from Chinese visa regime

"The case has been reviewed on several occasions by the Chinese authorities," said Frode Overland Andersen, communications manager at UD at NTB.

Residents from all EU countries, as well as from Switzerland and Iceland, can travel without a visa to Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu and Guangzhou for up to 72 hours. The schemes were introduced on the diplomatic ice front between Norway and China between 2010 and 2016, and this is after all the reason Norway was not included.

"Like Norway, China itself chooses its visa and entry rules," Overland Andersen points out.

Last week, King Parish, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Minister of Industry concluded their state visit to China.
