SN Power, owned by the Norwegian state via Norfund, buys Uganda's largest power plant for just over three billion dollars
The Bujagali power plant is the largest in the country. Uganda and one of the largest in Africa. It is located in the city of Jinja, from where the Nile flows from Lake Victoria in the center of the country.
With a capacity of 25 megawatts, the power plant would be among the 25 largest in Norway, covering nearly half of the energy consumed in Uganda.
