Police are investigating the murder of Makaveli Lindén in Belgium – NRK Norway – News from different parts of the country

On behalf of the investigation, the Belgian police are very reluctant to provide information, but confirms to NRK that she is investigating the role played by Makaveli Lindén in the murder of this 58-year-old woman.

At the same time, the Norwegian police now confirm that she has read the question "some time ago" and is in contact with the Belgian police.

"I can only confirm that the suspect in the murder case in Norway is also a suspect in our case," said Nele Poelmans in a speech at NRK in Mechelen.

Police are investigating the possibility that the 20-year-old Swede was behind the murder committed in the Belgian town while he escaped from the Norwegian police in connection with the murder of Majorstuen.

Johanna Jostameling (58) was found dead in her own apartment on 24 October. According to the Belgian media, she was already killed on 21 October.

According to Belgian newspapers, this 58-year-old woman was killed with a knife and objects stolen from her apartment were stolen.

The Belgian police confirmed to the NRK that she was now in contact with the French prosecutor's office to question the 20-year-old.

– I can confirm that the suspect arrested in France for the murder in Norway is a possible suspect in our case. This is one of the tracks we are currently studying, said Nele Poelmans is in charge of prosecuting Mechelen with NRK.

Poelmans does not want to comment further on the investigation, but says that it might be helpful to cooperate with the French and Norwegian authorities and that he could be asked if he was sued.

Collaborate on seizures

Prosecutor Christian Hatlo told NRK that they had been informed of killings in Belgium "some time ago".

He does not want to know exactly when they were informed of the killings.

"It's not about murders in Belgium that we suspected had happened earlier," Hatlo points out.

When Lindén was arrested in Dijon, France, he brought with him a number of items seized.

According to the Belgian media, apartment objects of this 58 year old man were stolen.

When the Norwegian police returned home from Dijon, she seized the seizures made by the French police.

What kind of seizure the Norwegian police brought from France does not want Hatlo to comment on, but confirms that the seizures are now a subject for which they are in contact with the Belgian police.

"The conflicts in this case are one of the things we are working on together, and yesterday I was in The Hague and discussed it," Hatlo told NRK.

Lindén has not been requested in Belgium. If it becomes so, the Norwegian public prosecutor must cooperate with the French and Belgian authorities to find a solution.

Hatlo said the Norwegian police would try to be in the vanguard and that there would be extradition agreements if it was applicable.

– If it is requested to be delivered by Belgium, we will find a solution. The Attorney General has been informed, says Hatlo to NRK.

Found killed in the apartment

Jostameling, 58, is of German origin and has worked with fashion. She lived alone in the apartment on the second floor above a clothing store in the Belgian city.

The people with whom NRK spoke describe her as a friendly and social person, and the murder shook the Belgian city.

Escape from Norway

Just hours after the assassination of Majorstua in Oslo on October 15, the assassination of Makaveli Linden in Norway is gone.

The 20-year-old Swede took the train between Oslo S and Stockholm.

On October 23, Lindén was arrested by police in Dijon, France. The next day, the murder of Jostameling (58 years old) was discovered.

The police did not want to let people know how the 20-year-old had traveled from Stockholm to Dijon, but it was previously known that he was in Belgium before being arrested in La France.
