Two buildings collapsed Monday in the center of the French city of Marseille. At least two people are injured.

BFMTV reports that two casual bystanders were more easily damaged when walking on the sidewalk when a building suddenly collapsed, collapsed.

A large number of firefighters have moved to the place where the building remains and a thick layer of dust covers the street. Dogs for special purposes are used to search for people who can be buried in the ruins.

The buildings were five and six storeys high respectively, displaying images of Google Street View. One of them had spiked windows and big cracks in the facade.

Authorities say that one of the buildings has been blocked. But they do not know if it may have been used by homeless people or home buyers.
