Tallahassee Police Chief Michael DeLeo said an unidentified assailant killed six people and went to a seventh house with the weapon before committing suicide Friday.
Two people are confirmed dead and the state should be critical for three of the wounded.
The shootout message reached the police at 5:47 pm local time on Friday. Yoga Hot Yoga Room is located in a small mall in Tallahassee, capital of Florida.
Attack in a yoga time
At the local Tallahassee Democrat newspaper, witnesses explained that the author was a tall man with a beard, observed in Hot Yoga's premises, and that he had behaved in a striking manner before taking a gun and start shooting inside a yoga period.
A man had to try to stop the shooter, who responded by sweeping it with the weapon before shooting himself in the head.
"There are things that indicate that there are more people out there who have fought and who have not only tried to flee, but also those of other people, which proves their courage "said DeLeo.

According to the local authorities, a family rule seems to have been the basis of the shooting.
The event interrupted the election campaign of the mayor and Democratic governor of the city, Andrew Gillum, who said on Twitter that he was deeply grateful to the police who had promptly left the scene after the announcement of the shooting. Gillum canceled their events and immediately returned to Tallahassee.
