It’s the frightening moment when a nurse who had just received the coronavirus vaccine at a Tennessee hospital told reporters she felt dizzy and then passed out.

Nurse manager Tiffany Dover received the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine at CHI Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga on Thursday and was giving a briefing when she began to walk away, according to WTVC-9.

“All of my staff, you know, we’re thrilled to receive the vaccine. We’re in the COVID unit, so, you know, my team will have the first chance to get the vaccine, ”Dover said.

“And I know it’s really… Sorry, I feel really dizzy,” she continued.

One of the doctors behind her grabbed her as she passed out about 17 minutes after receiving the vaccine.

“It hit me all of a sudden, I could feel it coming. I felt a little disoriented, but I feel good now and the pain in my arm is gone, ”Dover said after his recovery.

Doctors said the episode was unrelated to the ingredients of the vaccine.

Dover told WTVC-9 that she suffered from an illness in which she often passed out when in pain.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has also said fainting can occur after various types of vaccinations and medical procedures – usually due to pain or anxiety.
