New York’s coronavirus positivity rate topped 1% for the third day in a row, according to the latest state figures.
The statewide rate on Friday, measured over a seven-day average, was 1.19%, Governor Cuomo said on Saturday. In New York, it was 1.24%.
Of the 82,967 test results communicated to the state on Friday, 1,156 – or 1.39% – came back positive.
The number of people hospitalized with the virus in New York City remained relatively stable at 354. There were four deaths from COVID-19 on Friday, including two residents of Queens and one resident of Brooklyn.
A total of 21,755,333 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in New York City, including 34,659 in the past 24 hours, Cuomo said on Saturday afternoon.
Cuomo, citing federal figures, said 73.7% of all adults in New York City have been bitten once and 67.2% have completed the series of vaccines.
