Shirley Jean Green Morrison: December 26, 1945 ~ September 14, 2021 (75 years old)
Shirley Green Morrison passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on September 14 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Shirley was born in Sidney, Nebraska, on December 26, 1945, to parents HL Giles and Billie Jean Giles.

Shortly after her birth, the family moved to Amarillo, Texas, where Shirley attended school. She graduated from Palo Duro High School class of 1964 where she met her first husband. Shirley married Stephen Green in October 1964.
Steve and Shirley continued to live in Amarillo near their family and had 3 beautiful daughters, Stefani, Staci and Samantha. Steve and Shirley have been chasing their dream of living in the mountains in Golden, Colorado for 6 years. In 1980, they moved to Casper, Wy.
After Steve’s death, Shirley met Rod Morrison and they married in 2001. Shirley and Rod turned 20 in June of that year.
Shirley has spent over 30 years working to improve the lives of seniors in the Casper community.
Shirley worked for Shepherd of the Valley Care Center as Director of Operations and Director of Manoir Maurice Griffith.
Survived by her husband Rod Morrison. His 3 daughters, Stefani O’Neal (Steven), Staci Blubaugh (Scott), Samantha Slagowski (Steve). 2 step-sons, Brian Morrison (Jen) and Russell Morrison.
Grandchildren Layne O’Neal (Caitlin), Baylee O’Neal, Stephen Struve (Tana), Kara Richardson, Danica Blubaugh, Kaden Blubaugh, Trysten Slagowski, Brett Slagowski, Alex Slagowski, Haylie Rainbolt, Brecken Morrison, Kealyn Morrison and Kylar Heath.
Great-grandchildren Rowan Smith, Bristen Richardson, Alli Richardson, Gracie Struve, Paisley Struve and Hailey are expecting another great-grandchild in January 2022.
Stepmom Rita Petersen, Stepbrother Melvin Morrison (Judy) and StepSister Debra Mapp.
She is also survived by her dear aunt and friend, Sarah Brennenstuhl (Bob), her longtime friends Penny and Charlie Frantz, many beloved cousins, wonderful friends and her Baptist family on Boyd Avenue.
Preceded in death by first husband Steve Green, parents HL Giles, Billie Jean Giles, sister Debbie Giles, stepfather Robert (Bob) Morrison and step-sister Frankie Cardinal
Services will be held Monday, September 20 at 11 a.m. at the Boyd Avenue Baptist Church, with a reception to follow.
Memorials can be directed to the Central Wyoming Hospice or the West Texas Rehabilitation Center.

Ethel L. Propp: 1930 – 2021
The funeral for longtime Casper resident Ms. Ethel Lorene (Torrey) Propp, 90, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at the Newcomers Chapel, 710 East Second Street, Casper, Wyoming, with the Chaplain Angela Haigler officiating. Interment to follow at Casper’s Highland Cemetery, with a reception to follow.
Ethel died on the afternoon of Sunday, September 12, 2021 at the Meadow Winds Memory Care Unit. Her family thanks the staff at Edgewood Meadow Winds Assisted Living for their years of compassionate supportive care and Encompass Hospice for their comfort care. Ethel was born on November 28, 1930 in Wheatland, Wyoming, to farm farmers Milo and Florence (Nash) Torrey. The family moved to Torrington, Wyoming, where Ethel and her siblings were raised. She helped with farm chores and occasionally kept sheep and turkeys on horseback! Ethel attended Torrington High School, where she graduated in 1948.
Ethel met the love of her life, Jack E. Propp, a native of Casper, while working as a pastry foreman at Wigwam Bakery in Torrington. They were married on April 23, 1949 at the United Presbyterian Church in Torrington. They moved to Casper where Jack worked until his retirement at the Standard Oil / Amoco refinery. Jack passed away on June 5, 2005. Ethel will rest by his side.
From this wonderful marriage, four children were born. Ethel was the quintessential stay-at-home mom, reading to her children daily and promoting the value of education. Evidencing her proud achievement, her four children were all first generation university graduates with degrees in public administration, mathematics, physics, chemical engineering, and business.
Ethel was predeceased by her husband, parents and siblings Imo Evelyn, Harold Milo, Charles Laverne, Wayne Ward, Glen Willard, Lavonne Carol and Donna Jean. His children, Jackie Lynn (Propp) Read and his partner Lewis Ray of Casper, Keith Eugene Propp and his wife Phoebe of Colorado Springs, Brian Richard Propp and his wife Luella of Fort Collins, and Lana Corinne Propp and his partner Jim Thornton of Norman , Oklahoma survive. . Ethel is also survived by four grandchildren: Jeremy (Jodene) Stevens, Janel (Tony) Meneghini, Jamie (Kevin) Martin and Jenny (Mike) Kerns; nine great-grandchildren: Madison Stevens, Charles Stevens, Ashlee Propp, Prestyn Martin, Kennedy Martin, Jacob Martin, Annabella Meneghini, Cailee Kerns and Abagail Meneghini; a great-great-grandchild: Aaden Franco; and several nieces and nephews.
Ethel was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, and friend to many. She will be missed by all who knew her.
