October 7: Plumas Public Health announces 62 new cases

The Plumas County Public Health Agency announced late this evening on October 7 that there were 62 new cases to report – a big jump from the number of 24 on October 4. The health agency publishes positive test results twice a week – on Mondays and Thursdays. Thirty-eight of today’s cases are at Quincy and reflect the large numbers associated with Quincy High School.

There are 130 active cases; 1,452 cases in total and 12 deaths.

The 62 cases reported today are as follows:

Thirty eight cases for the southern region (Quincy / Meadow Valley): ten confirmed on October 5; 14 confirmed on October 6; and 14 confirmed today, October 7.

Fourteen cases for the eastern region (Graeagle / Portola): two confirmed on October 5; eight confirmed on October 6 and four confirmed today on October 7.

Eight Western region cases (Chester / Almanor Lake): seven confirmed on October 6; and one confirmed today, October 7th.

Of them confirmed cases for the northern region (Greenville / Indian Valley): one case confirmed on October 6; and one confirmed today, October 7th.
