North Fulton County, Ga. – Channel 2 Action News learned that the Sandy Springs police had issued a warrant for the arrest of rapper Migos, accused of a crime.
Channel 2 North Fulton County Office Manager Mike Petchenik was the first to announce the news of arrest warrant against the rapper.
The video viewed hundreds of thousands of times shows what seems to be the rapper, whose real name is Kiari Cephus, pulling a mobile phone from the hands of a fan.
Petchenik learned that the altercation took place last Monday at a Target store in Sandy Springs.

On Thursday, Petchenik met with Junior Gibbons, the high school student, who recorded the video.
"When he raised his hands, I thought he was going to show signs of gangs or something of the sort, but he ended up crushing my phone," Gibbons said. He said: "Get me off this phone (abusive), and then he's out."
Gibbons said the whole incident had taken him by surprise.
"He hit very hard and he fell to the ground and he broke the screen," Gibbons said.
Gibbons says that he is a fan of Offset, but agrees that he should be charged with a crime.
"If you hit someone's phone and you pay $ 800, he must be charged with a crime," Gibbons said.
Gibbons also said that he thinks the famous rapper should replace his cell phone.
"He really did not have to hit my phone like that," Gibbons said. "I do not think he should go to jail or whatever, I would rather buy a new phone to be honest."

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
This is not the first meeting between the Grammy-nominated rapper and the law enforcement officers.
More recently, Cephus was arrested in Clayton County in July 2018, for possession of weapons and drugs.
Cephus and his bodyguard, Senay Gezahgn, were traveling to Jonesboro when the 2014 Offset-driven Porsche 911 Carrera was intercepted as she was suspected of changing lanes on Upper Riverdale Road.

Officers said that during a search, they had found three handguns, less than an ounce of marijuana and over $ 107,000 in cash.
Offset was accused of inappropriate lane change; possession of marijuana, less than 1 ounce; possession of a weapon by a convicted felon; and possession of a weapon while committing a crime.
Gezahgn was charged with possession of marijuana under an ounce and possession of a weapon while committing a crime.
Cephus was released from prison the next day after posting a bond.
He also spent nearly eight months in Bulloch County Jail in 2014.

Migos gave a concert at Georgia Southern University in April. During the show, the police searched two vehicles of the group and 13 members of his entourage. The research found less than an ounce of marijuana, a bottle of street mix containing codeine called "lean" and several guns, according to police.
The police arrested the 16 people.

Cephus was sentenced to nine counts: violation of the Georgia Controlled Substances Act, possession of a firearm while committing a crime, carrying weapons in certain areas of the country. School, possession of less than one ounce of marijuana, possession of a firearm by a convict, two counts of indictment, violation of the law on terrorism and gang prevention of street, riot in a penitentiary establishment.
