WARREN – North American Dental Management (NADM), which provides administrative and technological support services to Professional Dental Alliance (PDA) offices, has suffered a phishing attack by email and collecting credentials March 31 and April 1.

Firms are located in Niles, Poland, Boardman, Alliance, Austintown, Sebring and Salem.

NADM investigated and recently reported the practices of a personal information breach. Federal and local law enforcement officials have been notified of the violation.

Personal information that may have been exposed varies from person to person and may include name, mailing address, email address, phone number, dental information, insurance information, social security number and financial account numbers.

At this time, there is no evidence of malicious use of personal information as a result of this incident.

While the matter is still under investigation, NADM and PDA have improved their email security controls and computer networks.

Additionally, those affected by the breach are offered free two-year subscriptions to Experian’s IdentityWorks, a product that protects against identity theft and provides fraud alerts. The program will also provide free credit reports, credit monitoring and identity theft insurance up to $ 1 million.
