The rise continues for the Ohio State basketball team. Just outside the top 25 a few weeks ago, most polls and pundits now have the Buckeyes in the nation’s top five and potentially close to a No.1 seed if things continue.
Almost every opinion maker now has the Buckeyes among the elite teams in the country, and there’s one we’ve been following for quite some time. . Last week ESPN’s Jeff Borzello had OSU at 9th in his weekly power ranking, which was good in itself. But now, after a road victory over Iowa, in combination with a few losses for the leading teams, he has now elevated Ohio State to the elite teams in the country.
We have to warn of course that there is still a lot of season to go, but there is no doubt at this point that the Buckeyes will be ranked quite high in the NCAA tournament where and when it is played.
