One dead and four injured in shooting on the Bagnell Dam strip

LAKE OZARK, Mo. (KMIZ)

One person died and four injured after a shooting near a bar on the Bagnell Dam strip in Lake Ozark.

In a city press release, officials report that they believe the shooting is gang-related and the public should not be concerned for their safety.

City officials said people reported the shooting around 8 p.m. Several suspects were arrested at the scene near the Casablanca Pub & Grille. Authorities did not disclose the name of the person who died Thursday evening as their investigation continues.

Witnesses told ABC 17 News they saw more than a dozen people fighting outside Casablanca before the shooting.

“Lake Ozark officials quickly noted that this isolated incident was not the norm for the community,” the statement said.

Law enforcement diverted traffic from the Bagnell Dam strip on Thursday evening while the investigation took place.
