One person was killed and two others wounded in a shootout in the central neighborhood of Seattle on Friday afternoon.
Five people arrived in a vehicle at the Swedish Cherry Hill shortly after the shooting, of which one had died on arrival. Two others sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transferred to Harborview Medical Center. The other two fled the scene.
The detectives and the gang unit of the city are on the scene of the shooting, at the intersection of East Union Street and 23rd Avenue East. Witnesses told KIRO TV that they had heard about 30 shots fired by several guns at the time of the shooting.
The shooting took place around 3:15 pm. Friday, where "at least one suspect opened fire on a group of victims in block 2100 of East Union Street".
The SPD is looking for several suspects, but has no description yet. Witnesses described the suspect's car as a tanned Chevrolet Malibu.
No casualties were found at the scene of the shooting.
The Seattle police tweeted Friday night, "The @SeattlePD The anti-crime teams of gang units and constituency offices will continue to conduct concentration patrols in the central district and in other neighborhoods affected by armed violence. "
The Garfield Community Center was originally located in an enclosure that was raised shortly before 4:30 pm Traffic remains completely blocked in both directions on E Union Street between 20th Avenue East and 22nd Avenue East.
