Natsume revealed over the weekend that they have a brand new Harvest Moon title on the way with Harvest Moon: One World. Back on New Years Day, the company posted a little blog post with information on what 2020 looked like for them as they contemplate what will happen in the New Year. Part of it was about a few of their new games released last year including Cosmic defenders and Legend of Aether. But the real news was dropped in the end when the company revealed the upcoming game along the way, as it will bring a Harvest Moon title to the Xbox One. Yes, you read that right, they aren’t intended to make it a next-gen version (although you will be able to play them on the Xbox Series X / S.

As for what the game will have in store, we have no idea where they are in the game’s development line, so there’s no way for us to know much until then. that Natsume as a company decides to show anything. Which, by giving their story with product reveals, we are guessing this summer. Based on the brief description of the game and how it looks like they are approaching it, we believe it will be heavily influenced by all the things that have happened in Stardew Valley. I mean, how can you not take inspiration from an indie game that essentially did a better farming game with a developer than some of the past entries in the Harvest moon series over the past decade. We’ll see what ultimately results, but don’t be entirely shocked if this great game features a wizard’s tower, mining, and trying to hang out with everyone in town.
