– After being robbed by potential buyers, an online seller chased those responsible for the theft and fired several shots.

Raleigh Police said a man and woman arranged to meet with a person in the 1100 Raleigh Boulevard parking lot on Saturday to purchase items the person had advertised online.

Police said the couple decided not to buy the property and steal from the seller instead.

The two people then left and the seller pursued them on Capital Boulevard. The seller then fired two shots at the man and woman, police said.

The chase ended at the 3000 block of Capital Boulevard, where the pair ran for help.

Police said the three people had been charged in the incident.

The man and woman were charged with theft with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit theft.

The online seller was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
