Orange County, Florida – Orange County health official Dr Pino said Orange County was seeing a decrease in emergency room visits for COVID-19 and hospitalizations.
The daily positive rate fell three days in a row, according to the health ministry.
Dr Pino wants residents of Orange County to continue to put safety measures and guidelines in place.
“We have to keep reducing this,” Pino said.
There have been more than 33,400 cases of COVID-19 in Orange County.
The median age of COVID-19 in the county is 36, according to the Department of Health.
The DOH reports that there have been 1,006 hospitalizations and 351 deaths in the county from the virus.
Pino said yesterday that there were 54 people in intensive care beds, that number on July 18 was 104.
Students enrolled in in-person instruction will return to class in Orange County on Friday.
The DOH reports that 1,503 children under the age of 15 have tested positive for COVID-19.

Last week, a 9-year-old from Circle Christian School tested positive for COVID-19.
The student went to class on the Winter Garden campus.
School officials said the other students and the teacher had been asked to self-quarantine and get tested for the virus.
