PORTLAND, Ore. (KTVZ) – Two new COVID-19 deaths in Oregon push the state’s death toll to 1,882, along with 435 cases – the lowest daily number of cases in nearly three months , the Oregon Health Authority reported on Monday.
The OHA reported 435 new confirmed and suspected COVID-19 cases as of 12:01 a.m. Monday, bringing the state’s total to 138,587. This is the lowest daily number of cases reported since 424 cases were reported October 28.
Vaccinations in Oregon
On Monday, the OHA reported that 7,390 new doses of COVID-19 vaccine had been added to the state’s immunization registry. Of this total, 6,182 doses were administered on Sunday and 1,208 were administered the previous days, but were entered in the vaccine registry on Sunday.
It may take several days for the cumulative daily totals to be finalized because providers have 72 hours to report doses administered and technical issues have caused many providers to be late in reporting. The OHA provided technical support to vaccination sites to improve the timeliness of their data entry into the state’s ALERT Immunization Information System (IIS).
Oregon has now administered a cumulative total of 308,051 first and second doses of COVID-19 vaccines. All vaccinations were administered by hospitals in Oregon, long-term care facilities, emergency medical services (EMS) agencies, emergency care facilities, and local public health authorities (LPHA ).
To date, 492,450 doses of vaccine have been delivered to sites across Oregon.
These data are preliminary and subject to change. The OHA dashboards provide regularly updated immunization data and the Oregon dashboard was updated on Monday.
The Saint-Charles Health System reported that 12,502 COVID-19 vaccinations were given early Monday, following a weekend mass vaccination clinic for educators and school staff at the fairgrounds in Redmond.
COVID-19 hospitalizations
The number of hospital patients with COVID-19 in Oregon is 320, up 10 from Sunday. There are 75 COVID-19 patients in intensive care unit (ICU) beds, five fewer than Sunday.
The total number of patients in hospital beds may fluctuate between reporting times. Figures do not reflect admissions per day or length of hospital stay. Staff limitations are not taken into account in this data and may further limit bed capacity.

St. Charles Bend reported 24 COVID-19 patients as of 4 a.m. Monday, one of whom was in intensive care and on a ventilator.

The new confirmed and suspected COVID-19 cases reported on Monday are in the following counties: Baker (1), Benton (4), Clackamas (46), Columbia (1), Coos (11), Crook (1), Deschutes ( 21), Douglas (12), Harney (1), Hood River (1), Jackson (25), Josephine (10), Lake (4), Lane (36), Lincoln (5), Linn (7), Marion (48), Morrow (1), Multnomah (105), Polk (6), Tillamook (1), Umatilla (20), Union (3), Wasco (6), Washington (50) and Yamhill (9).

The 1881st COVID-19 death in Oregon is an 81-year-old man in Linn County who tested positive on December 20 and died on January 23 at the Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center. The presence of underlying conditions is being confirmed.
The 1882nd COVID-19 death in Oregon is a 90-year-old woman in Yamhill County who tested positive on January 14 and died January 23 at Legacy Meridian Park Medical Center. The presence of underlying conditions is being confirmed.
