PORTLAND, Ore. (KTVZ) – There are seven newly reported COVID-19 deaths in Oregon, bringing the state’s death toll to 2,817, the Oregon Health Authority reported on Friday while noting that several went back months – even last year, due to processing times.

The OHA also reported 369 new confirmed and suspected COVID-19 cases as of 12:01 a.m. Friday, bringing the state total to 211,998.

Vaccinations in Oregon

The OHA reported on Friday that 5,295 new doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been added to the state’s immunization registry. Of this total, 2,896 doses were administered on Thursday 15 and 2,399 were administered the previous days but were entered in the vaccine registry on Thursday.

The seven-day moving average is now 5,300 doses per day.

Oregon has now administered 2,607,790 first and second doses of Pfizer, 1,765,059 first and second doses of Moderna, and 175,839 single doses of Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccines.

As of Friday, 2,445,717 people had received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine and 2,271,516 people had completed a series of COVID-19 vaccines.

It may take several days for the cumulative daily totals to be finalized because providers have 72 hours to report doses administered and technical issues have caused many providers to be late in reporting. The OHA provided technical support to vaccination sites to improve the timeliness of data entry into the state’s ALERT Immunization Information System (IIS).

To date, 2,975,895 doses of Pfizer, 2,267,560 doses of Moderna and 299,100 doses of Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine have been delivered to sites across Oregon.

These data are preliminary and subject to change.

Updated immunization data is provided on Oregon’s COVID-19 Data Dashboards and was updated on Friday.
