Current vaccination sites in the state are only available by appointment, but the state plans to launch walk-in sites in the coming weeks, officials previously said.

In addition to the above locations, the DuPage County Department of Health has moved its vaccination to the DuPage County Fairground Clinic in Wheaton to increase capacity. The new space opened for vaccinations on Wednesday.

Yet despite the locations added, Illinois officials continue to urge patience, saying the vaccine supply is limited.

“We are limited by the amount of vaccine available and allocated by the federal government,” the governor’s office said in a statement. “Vaccines are only available by appointment at this time and we encourage people to return frequently for open appointments. As long as the supply is not increased there will be a strong demand and we ask people to be patient.
