New cases
1,516 new cases have been reported since Saturday. This brings the state’s total to 336,405.
Test
1,965,485 people have been tested for COVID-19 in Utah. This represents an increase of 7,331 new tests.
The seven-day moving average of positive cases is now 1,794, or about 19.4% of those tested.
Hospitalizations
461 people are currently hospitalized. 13,016 people have been hospitalized since the start of the pandemic.
Death
13 new deaths have been reported, four of which occurred in 2020. The Medical Examiner’s Office is conducting extensive investigations into all potential COVID-related deaths, these investigations can take several weeks. Newly reported deaths include:
- Male, aged 65 to 84, resident of Salt Lake County, hospitalized at time of death
- Female, aged 65 to 84, resident of Salt Lake County, resident in long-term care facility
- Male over 85, resident of Salt Lake County, resident of long-term care facility
- Male, aged 45 to 64, resident of Salt Lake County, not hospitalized at time of death
- Male, aged 65 to 84, resident of Uintah County, not hospitalized at time of death
- Male, between 25 and 44, resident of Utah County, resident in long-term care facility
- Male, aged 65 to 84, resident of Utah County, hospitalized at time of death
- Female over 85, resident of Utah County, resident in long-term care facility
- Male, aged 65 to 84, resident of Utah County, hospitalized at time of death
- Male, aged 65 to 84, resident of Utah County, hospitalized at time of death
- Female, aged 65 to 84, resident of Washington County, resident in long-term care facility
- Woman, over 85, resident of Washington County, not hospitalized at time of death
- Female, aged 65 to 84, resident of Weber County, not hospitalized at time of death
Vaccinations
An additional 6,073 vaccines were administered, for a total of 228,348.
