Papa John's offers free classes for his employees

CNN – Papa John's offers his workers the opportunity to pursue a university education.

The pizza chain offers to pay all tuition fees for online undergraduate and graduate programs.

The offer is offered to more than 20,000 Papa John's employees. Papa John's also offers a tuition reduction to the 70,000 people working for his franchisees.

However, courses must be taken at Purdue Global University, which offers several online degree programs. All of this is part of a new initiative called "dough and degrees".

The news comes as Papa John's continues to face the fallout from its founder, John Schnatter.

He resigned from his presidential post last year after using a racial insult during a conference call.

Last week, a private equity firm agreed to invest $ 200 million in Papa John's, after the company had rejected a counter offer from Schnatter.
