(WTNH) – A 23 year old paramedic from London was partially paralyzed after fracturing his neck by stretching himself out in March.

According to the Daily Mail, Natalie Kunicki watched movies in bed, stretched her neck and heard a crack. She got up to use the bathroom a few minutes later and collapsed on the floor.

Natalie originally thought that after a night of drinking, the bankruptcy was due to the fact that she was simply "drunk" and was reluctant to let her friend know what she was doing. Had passed.

An ambulance was called soon after and Ms. Kunicki was rushed to the hospital, where doctors discovered a broken neck artery that also caused a stroke. An emergency operation was necessary to remove the clot in her brain and three hours later she was recovering.

Kunicki told the Daily Mail:

"I am a paramedic and I did not call 999 for ten minutes because I thought it was too unlikely that it was a stroke while I should have known a lot better.

Natalie is recovering now, but doctors do not know if she will regain mobility.
