MADISON COUNTY, Idaho (KIFI) – On Monday, the Idaho Department of Transportation will begin repairs to Idaho Highway 33 in Madison County.
The work will take place in the town of Rexburg, where crews will mill and repav portions of the roadway to improve the safety and driving experience for motorists.
“We are working to repair areas of the freeway that have developed potholes,” said Bryan Young, director of ITD. “This will both help ensure the pavement lasts as expected and prevent the development of future potholes this winter. “
Drivers will experience single lane reductions while repairs are underway. Traffic patterns will change as teams progress along the highway, so drivers are advised to pay close attention to signage and watch for workers and equipment entering and exiting the area. of work.
Repairs should take place between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. each day. Weather permitting, crews should complete the work by the end of the week.
