It's official, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi, is considering running for another term.

The Democratic Democrat in Washington told Steve Scully of C-SPAN that she would run for a 17th term.

"Oh, yes, well, I do not do any political project for the moment, but we will take it one day at a time," said the Democrat at first.

She then added: "I have the intention to file, we must file by December of this year, we must file, so I will table, yes."

Pelosi first won the 1987 parliamentary elections and was elected president twice.

She had planned to end her political career if Hillary Clinton had won the presidency in 2016, but had decided to continue after the victory of President Trump.

The speaker, who ran into younger members, will be 80 next March.

the Washington Examiner Caitlin Yilek reported this year: "Pelosi is about to become the oldest person in history to hold the position of president. The California Democrat will be nearly 81 years old at the end of his term, which it will be a year older than President Sam Rayburn, D-Texas, who died less than two months before turning 80.
