The reasons given by the legislator are: "because his conduct as a member of the Congress of the Republic, representing Fuerza Popular during the investigation into the complaint filed in corruption cases in the" public entity Promperú, has not been proven, since it used all its power to constitute the file of the request of the Control Commission, which was aimed at investigating allegations of irregularities in the State entity mentioned above.
It also states that Letona has broken the rules of the Congress of the Republic (Articles 5 and 14), the rules of the parliamentary group of the People's Force and the code of ethics, as well as anti-corruption agreements.
Yeni Vilcatoma de la Cruz was reincorporated into the orange caucus in July of this year. She resigned in 2016. She was then elected third vice-president of the Congress of the Republic.
