"We are only putting an end to outpatient consultations, emergency surgeries are guaranteed and other attentions will be reprogrammed for the next 72 hours," he added during a dialogue with Canal N.

The national strike is followed by 23,000 doctors grouped together minsa. In addition to this event, there are about 2,000 doctors from the National Institute of Penitentiaries (INPE), the Armed Forces and other institutions.

Salazar Oré explained that at 10 am, doctors would pass in front of the headquarters of the Ministry of Health where a delegation will wait to meet with the authorities concerned to respond to their requests.
