The chairman of the ethics committee has excluded the "revictimization" of the applicant in the Mamani case

Parliamentary Ethics Committee Chair Janet Sanchez (PPK) said on Wednesday that the parliamentary group had "revictimized" the worker from an airline that had filed a complaint against the Congressman of the Force popular, Moisés Mamani.

In statements to the press, the parliamentarian noted that during the private closed session, Tania Pariona, lawmaker of New Peru, did not ask the victim any questions.

"In any case (there were these questions) you know that this case is already in the public prosecutor's office and however I remember there was no question about it"He commented Sánchez.

Working group session

Regarding the session of the working group, he said that the meeting had proceeded smoothly and that there was no friction between parliamentarians. He added that the session had been deprived at the request of the company and in order to protect the complainant's integrity.

"It was calm, there was no friction, quite the contrary, with great respect for many of the members of Congress. (…) The meeting was taken in reserve at the request of the company and also to ensure the integrity of the injured lady ".

Working group session

The Ethics Commission of the Congress of the Republic met behind closed doors on Wednesday afternoon for the case of Mamani, who was charged with being touched by an airline employee.

The working group chaired by parliamentarian Janet Sánchez (Peruvians for Kambio) received the testimony of the flight attendant from Latam, who requested that the session be held in camera. The witness statement will also be received.
