According to the Ministry of Health, 72,000 Peruvians live with HIV. However, only 78% know their diagnosis, which is why many people are unaware that they carry the HIV virus.
Confronted with this harsh reality, just days before World AIDS Day, Innpares joins several organizations participating in the National HIV Free HIV Testing Campaign under the slogan "Get tested for HIV." Follow Life ", through which will perform rapid screening tests in its various locations in the country.
The activity will be carried out from Saturday 1 December until the stock is exhausted.
In Lima, it will be held at its headquarters located on Giuseppe Garibaldi Avenue 125, at block 20 of Salaverry Avenue, Jesús María. Lima and Callao together account for 54% of HIV cases accumulated across the country.
According to the 2017 Demographic and Family Health Survey (INEI), 70.3% of women who identify forms of HIV transmission from mother to daughter (or) can say that this can occur during pregnancy or childbirth, which is worrisome for only 34.5%% will mention breastfeeding as a form of transmission.

Dr. Irma Ramos, Executive Director of Innpares, said that her institution recently integrated the specialty of infectiology, hoping to contribute to the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of this type of infection.
