According to the Ministry, the maintenance of the policy will remain mandatory and the user can take it on his mobile device or printed, and the Soat issued until that date must not be changed and will be valid until the end of the day. when it expires.

The new mandatory insurance keeps the characteristics of the electronic documents: it includes a QR code containing encrypted information on the vehicle and the police.

In this sense, Deputy Minister Ostos stated that the evolution of Soat to digital guaranteed the transparency of the insurance and transportation sector. "The idea is to seek legality because it is estimated that about 42% of vehicles that drive are escaping traffic insurance," he said.
