Congressman Úrsula Letona will have to resign from the Fuerza Popular Bank against his colleague Yeni Vilcatoma's request to expel him from the parliamentary group, his spokesman Carlos Tubino said.

At the end of the Fujimorist caucus meeting, Tubino announced that neither of the two lawmakers had attended this meeting, during which Vilalkoma's denunciation of Letona had been reported and others problems discussed.

He reiterated that both parliamentarians enjoyed the respect and consideration of the political group and that it was appropriate to listen to Letona's explanations, as opposed to the accusation of the third vice-speaker of Parliament to encourage the filing of the motion not to investigate alleged corruption committed in Promperú.

The document sent by Vilcatoma to Carlos Tubino, requesting the expulsion of Letona, accused the Fuerza Popular exvocación of having "used all its power" to file the request of the commission of inspection, which aimed to investigate alleged irregularities of Promperú.

This alleged action of Letona violates the "Congressional regulations, Fuerza Popular regulations and code of ethics, as well as anti-corruption agreements", according to Vilcatoma's letter.

As we recall, the Congressional Taxation Committee had asked the plenary session to grant the faculties 120-day investigative commission to inquire about the advertising contract of the company. a million dollars signed with Sony Music Entertainment Colombia SA from Promperú.

The contract stipulated the making of two video clips in Peru, one of which was taken from the song "Mañana" by Colombian Carlos Vives.
