It may happen that you head to a place following Google Maps in a very noisy environment. So much so that the volume capacity of your smartphone seems insufficient to be able to listen to the instructions that it offers. But that has a solution.
"When you start navigating to a place, you can hear the instructions vocally," explains the Google Maps service on its help page. By default, these guides are offered at a "normal" volume level. But you can set it to be "superior" or "lower".
As shown in the screenshot above, the first thing to do to change the volume level of the directions is to enter the application and go to the Menu (the three horizontal lines in the upper left corner). You scroll through the options until you find Settings.
In the pop-up screen, select the GPS Navigation option. The second option of this menu is the level of the voice. When you access this function, Google Maps will ask you what level of voice you want, if it is louder, at normal or lower volume. Select the one you want and ready.
If in the case, when you are already in navigation mode, you must silence or limit the indications offered by the service, you can do it by pressing the Sounds icon. traffic status notifications or if there are any constructions or accidents on your route, but it will not tell you the steps to reach your destination.
