On Thursday, the national police, together with the prosecution, arrested 19 alleged members of the criminal organization "Reckless Los", in the city of Chiclayo, region Lambayeque. They are accused of crimes of corruption and organized crime.
Among the 19 captured is the provincial mayor of Chiclayo, David Cornejo Chinguel, accused of being the leader of this criminal network who collected bribes to grant resolutions and permits to new transport companies in privileged places, in violation of the law and the TUPA of the municipality .
The mayor's brother, Juan Noe Cornejo Chinguel, officials and advisers of the provincial municipality, would also, through the former head of transit, Isaías Merino Chavesta, and the Chargé the bribes.
According to the investigations, they allegedly invoiced between SEK 40 000 and 110 000 for the publication of resolutions concerning the operation of transport companies and between SEK 15 000 and 15 000 for the issue of a provisional license. . This network reportedly used third parties to receive illegal money from transport operators.
They would obtain permits and authorizations for new roads such as Chiclayo – Chaparrí; Chiclayo – Pomalca; Chiclayo – Eten; Chiclayo – Tumán.
The licenses were granted in favor of:
► "Texas" transport company: charge of 40,000 S
► Transportation company "Safe travel S.A.C": S / 40,000
► "Fexticum Express" transport company: 60,000 S
► "Unión y Progreso" transport company: 30,000 S
► Lizas S.A.C transport company: S / 60 000
► "Santa Pascuala" transport company: S / 90,000
► "Acunta" transport company: S / 110,000
► "Turismo Reque" transport company: S / 700 for each vehicle unit.
