Peruvian exports would exceed 70 billion US dollars on the bicentennial of independence, projected the Director General of Economic Promotion of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (RR.EE), Silvia Alfaro.

"By the end of the year, we expect Peruvian shipments worldwide to exceed $ 50 billion and the goal is to exceed 70,000 million exports by 2021" , did he declare.

He also pointed out that Peru has demonstrated in recent years a solid economy resulting in an increase in gross domestic product (GDP), with an average close to 6% over the last decade.

"We need to promote productive investment in non-traditional high value-added areas and technological development where joint work between the public and private sectors is important," he said.
