As part of a joint operation of the National Police and the Public Prosecutor's Office, this Wednesday they were arrested at Piura 14 alleged members of "The ships break Piura ", a criminal organization committed to robbery, extortion, the marketing of weapons, among other crimes.
During the proceedings, 30 buildings and four cells of Río Seco Prison were also raided. Five firearms, cell phones, computers, tablets, documents, USB sticks and other computer equipment were seized, according to the PNP Criminal Investigation Bureau.
The national police indicted Harvy Willian Valdiviezo Sanchez, aka "Zuk Zuk". as the alleged leader of the criminal organization. According to the results of the investigation, which lasted seven months, the organization would have worked in the provinces of Talara and Sullana.
The police operation was entrusted to General PNP César Cervantes Cárdenas, Chief of Police Region I Macro Piura – Tumbes and confirmed the participation of more than 100 members of the order from different specialized units. It has also benefited from the support of 36 prosecutors.
