At 06:44 a second earthquake was recorded, this time in the region of San Martín. The telluric movement reached 4.2 degrees of magnitude, reported the IGP. The institution explained that the epicenter of this earthquake was located 47 km. north of Moyobamba and had a depth of 24 kilometers.

Another magnitude 4.2 earthquake shook the same area of San Martin, but this time in the city of Picota at 1:30 pm. According to IGP, the epicenter of this movement was located 68 km. southeast of Picota.

Meanwhile, at 19:04, the institution reported another magnitude 4.0 earthquake in Junín. This seismic movement was 37 km away. southwest of Huasicancha, Huancayo, and reached a depth of 111 km.

The penultimate earthquake of regular intensity was recorded in Arequipa. Its magnitude was 3.4 to 20.27. The epicenter of this telluric movement was recorded at 10 km. south of Caylloma and 12 kilometers deep.

The last magnitude 4.0 earthquake was recorded at Madre de Dios on Tuesday evening at 21:23. The epicenter of this earthquake was located 93 km. northwest of Manu and had a depth of 55 kilometers.

The National Institute of Civil Defense (Indeci) and the local authorities of the above-mentioned regions have so far not reported any personal or material damage resulting from these earthquakes.
Peru is located in the area of the Pacific Ring of Fire, where about 85% of the world's seismic activity is recorded.
