WhatsApp evaluates the function to mark a message as read before opening it

WhatsApp prefers to test innovations internally before making them available to users. After the update which introduced a tag to show the messages transmitted in the conversations, the next novelty will be the option to mark a message as read directly from the notifications panel, along with a simple gesture .

Currently, a message is accompanied by the double blue tilde only if the recipient has seen it in the chat.

They worked so that now it is possible to indicate as read a message without having to open the application. In this way, users can configure the reading of the message directly from the notification. An option that will be useful for many and that will also save you time by talking with your friends, colleagues and family.

In WhatsApp notifications for Android, a new 'Mark As Read' button will be inserted, located next to the fast response. In the drop-down notification menu, as usual, the preview of the received message will appear and two options: the first will give the opportunity to reply to the message, and the second to mark it as read without entering the chat. Definitely a way to shorten the time of use of the application.
