EXCLUSIVE: Peter Dinklage continues to build a solid cinematic slate in his post The iron Throne career and seems to have found his next big project. He should star in the new legendary Poisonous avenger movie. Macon Blair is on board to lead.

A contemporary reimagining of Troma Entertainment’s 1984 hit low budget action comedy, The poisonous avenger is steeped in environmental themes and subverts the genre of superheroes in the vein of dead Pool. When a struggling man is pushed into a vat of toxic waste, he is transformed into a mutant monster who must go from evaded outcast to oppressed hero as he runs to save his son, friends and community from the forces of the corruption and greed. Lloyd Kaufman and Michael Herz of Troma will be the producers.

The property has also become a stage music production, a children’s cartoon television series, and a Marvel comic book.

He is replaced by CAA and Jackoway Austen.

The film won the Grand Jury Prize at the 2017 Sundance Film Festival. He was executive producer and starred in the 2013 Jeremy Saulnier film Blue ruin.
