LOS BAÑOS – The Philippines took the top two spots in the 50-meter butterfly race of 16-18 year olds at the Southeast Asian Swimming Championships at Saturday's Trace Aquatic Center .
Miranda Renner won the gold medal after 28.23 seconds.
Regina Castrillo, on the other hand, captured money at 28.36 seconds to cap 1-2 arrival.
Adinda Dewi of Indonesia took the bronze medal after finishing the course in 28.48 seconds
Meanwhile, Rafael Barreto took another silver medal in boys 16-18, finishing second behind Jeremie Nino of Vietnam with a time of 25.54 seconds.
Nino nearly equaled the race record in The race ended at 25.13 seconds, 0.03 seconds lower than the Thai's 25.1 second finish Supakrit Pananuratana in 2014.
The Philippines also won another bronze medal in the 4×100 meter medley relay. (PNA)
