16 Chinese tourists rescued after capsizing of a boat in Boracay

MANILA, Philippines – The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) rescued 16 Chinese tourists after their boat struck another boat and capsized off the coast of Boracay Island, Malay, Aklan.

According to the Western Visayas police, the tourists were aboard the MBCA LMJ when it collided with the boat FB Jin Ju around 14:55. Thursday.

Police said the incident occurred about 50 meters from the shore of Bolabog beach.

PCG personnel immediately intervened in the area and rescued the Chinese nationals, who at that time were found afloat on the waters after the incident.

The victims, who suffered minor injuries, were then taken to Ciriaco S. Tirol Hospital for treatment.
