MANILA, Philippines – Justin Brownlee could not go wrong with a double hat-trick in Baringay Ginebra's 127-99 victory in the first game against San Miguel in the PBA Common Cup final in 2018.

The US import broke for 42 points, 9 assists, 7 rebounds and two blocks in a game that saw him shoot a staggering 17-of-19 field and 5-on-5 depth while committing just two turnovers in almost 40 minutes.

It was a commendable performance, and Ginebra's teammate, LA Tenorio, had one of the greatest compliments for Brownlee.

" Well, syempre skewed ako, teammate ko siya. For me, he is the best import na nakasama ko talaga his buong career ko sa pba.I can not say anything more kay Justin " , said Tenorio

(Of course, I am biased because he's my teammate, for me it's the best import I've played with in my entire PBA career, I can not say anything more about Justin.)

Tenorio He played with Diamon Simpson, a member of the 30 greatest players of Alaska Aces and PBA champion, and former NBA players , Orlando Johnson, Vernon Macklin, Cedrick Bozeman and Othyus Jeffers.

But Tenorio's feelings are understandable since Brownlee has already led the Gin Kings to two PBA championships. And now he has a chance to win only two years playing in the league.

The 30-year-old import also proved to be a constant force at both ends of the Brownle exploded for 44 points in addition to 15 rebounds, 6 assists in 5 interceptions in Ginebra's 75 win -72 Match 3 against Rain or Shine in their best-of-5 semifinal series.

It was his second night of 40 points in three games and Brownlee seems not to stop anytime soon, as the best of seven deal progresses.

But what makes him the best for Tenorio is not only the dominance of the field, but also his out-of-court behavior.

" Obvious name, kita niyo naman paano siya On and off the field, walang masasabi kay Justin For me, he is the best import na kak saama his career ko sa pba ." [19659006] (It's obvious, you can see how he is with people, on and off the pitch, you can not say anything bad about him.) For me, it's the best import with which I played.

The Kings Gin need Brownlee to continue their impeccable play as they shoot for a 2-0 lead in the second game on Sunday, July 29, at the Araneta Coliseum. – Rappler.com
