ALLEN PARK – With only 44 days before the start of the season, the Detroit Lions still have no policy governing how they will observe the national anthem.
There was internal deliberation, but nothing was wrong. Coach Matt Patricia refused to shed light on their thinking before the start of the training camp on Friday.
"I've already tackled the problem of the national anthem," Patricia said. "The league is working on a policy there, it has published a policy, we are talking about it internally, it is something that will be maintained internally."
