How to activate the dark mode of One UI on the Samsung Galaxy S9

[ad_1]

The Samsung software has been providing full theme features for years, but has never had a dark system-level mode, unlike many competitors. The update Android 9 Pie, which incorporates the new interface "One UI", introduces a brand new "night mode" that serves the same purpose: to conceal as much as possible the interface, which is nice for your eyes the night but also nice to your drums. Here is how you activate it.

How to enable dark mode on the Galaxy S9

  1. Open your phone settings.
  2. Scroll and press Display.
  3. Search Night mode and press the rocker activate the night mode immediately.

  4. To set the Night mode, press the entry itself instead of the toggle.
    • At the moment, there are no configuration options. In the end, you'll be able to turn on this system-wide night mode at night, just like the current blue light filter.
  5. For easier access to Night mode, you can also add a quick toggle in the notification area.

The new Samsung Night Mode is not fully configurable nor can it directly replace a dark theme, as we see on other phones, but it is very close – and happily goes further than any third-party theme. And this is one of the most important improvements expected by most users of the Android 9 Pie update for the Galaxy S8, S9 and Note 9.
