Morissette sings again after a month of rest

MANILA – After a month of vocal rest, Morissette Amon gave last Friday in Cebu, his hometown, a well-received concert for the opening of the Bai Hotel, a new hotel in the city of Mandaue.

The Bai Hotel has chosen Morissette, a Cebuana, to be the guest of honor and serenize the guests present at the inauguration. She started with "Grown Up Christmas List" and then presented her second song, "Home", from the musical "The Wiz".

"There is no place like home," Morisette told the guests. "Cebu will always be home for me and my family."

After the second song, guests and the highest honors of the Bai Hotel joined Morissette on stage and presented her with a check to the Kythe Foundation.

Morissette closed the show with the resounding applause of "Nothing is going to stop us now", to the delight of the spectators who sang happily with her.

The first performance of Morissette on Friday was his first song after a month of vocal rest. She has consulted Dr. Randy Schnitman, Otolaryngologist, in Beverly Hills, California. He is the doctor of famous singers such as Mariah Carey and Katy Perry. He advised Morisette not to sing or even talk for a month.

Morisette's director, David Cosico of RankOne Entertainment, came from New York to attend the show in Cebu. He returned to Los Angeles last Saturday for a series of meetings with producers and music executives.

According to reliable sources, Morissette and Cosico met Grammy-winning producer Rhett Lawrence and Capitol Records executives in the United States. The two were even seen chatting with music legend Quincy Jones after Morisette's concert in Beverly Hills early last month.

We remember that Lawrence was in Manila last February, when Morissette organized his big sold out concert, "Morisette is Made", at the Araneta Coliseum.

When asked about this, Cosico simply smiled and replied, "Loop your belt for 2019."

For her part, Morissette is simply satisfied with everything that has happened in her singing career.

"More than material blessings, I'm really grateful to be able to help others," she said.
