Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri could agree to sell Cesc Fabregas during the January transfer, but the Italian tactician wants the Blues to sign a valuable replacement before giving the go-ahead to Fabregas's transfer to San Siro.

The Spanish contract expires in 2019 and the player could leave the club as a free agent at the end of the season.

AC Milan, however, is eager to sign reinforcements in midfield during the transfer in January.

In fact, Lucas Biglia will remain inactive for at least three months, while the Jack Bonaventura season is already over. The Italian midfielder will be forced to undergo a knee surgery and will remain on the bench for 7 to 8 months.

Fabregas has struggled with playing time this season and AC Milan has already started talks to sign it in January. Sarri will say yes to the transfer but according to Il Corriere dello Sport, he wants a new midfielder who can replace the former star of Barcelona.
